Ryan Fitzgerald Post #3

I agree with Megan, you should just keep practicing and exercising to get better. Peer pressure can be a big part of taking steroids. If you on a football team and everyone on the team is taking steroids but you, and someone says for you to try some, what are you going to do?

Tatianna Post # 3

I agree with Megan. you should just practice and excersize. Do you want your life be ruined ? Would you want to go to jail? Would you want to stop playing the sport all together? Do you want to die ? Do you want to risk breaking the bond that you have with your family? So don't give in to peer pressure, ask yourself questions, and think it through. When I say think it through I mean dont do it unless your doctor perscribes it.

Chanly Philogene Post # 3

I agree with Megan's first post. Steroids may be a shortcut to becoming a star but there are many harmful effects. As I said before its not worth the risk. Don't take the shortcut work hard for your accomplishments. You will feel proud you did it on your own. Work hard, eat right and you will reach your goal.

Tatianna Post #2

I agree with Tiffani's first post. Instead of cracking under peer pressure, you should stay away from them. It could save your life.

Tiffani Sanon Post #3

I also agree with Ryan's first post because Dominic should not do steriods because it will ruin the game and he will be hurting himself. He'd also lose the fun and the pupose of the game with the steriods.

Chanly Philogene Post # 2

I agree with Shannon's third post. Steroids are so dangerous. Why would you want to kill yourself? You WILL risk you life, job, friends, and reputation. You could lose everything. It may make you better at something but it can harm you and your great appearance will not last long. Women can grow facial hair and many other horrible side effects. Why risk your life?

Tiffani Sanon Post #2

I agree with Didier's second post. Steriods can really ruin someone's life. Many people do steriods to get bigger an stronger. Others crack under preasure. Steriods are one of the worst things you can to do your body due to all of those risks. Just do the right thing and stay away from it.

Tiffani Sanon Post # 1

Steroids also known as roids, juice, hype. That's just a few of names that steroids are reffered as. The body produces steriods on its on to support stress, growth and developtment. Some dangers of steroids are premature balding, mood swings, trembling, sleeping problems, nausea and vomiting. When girls are associated with anabolic steroids some risks are increased facial hair, growth development of masculine traits, and voices get deeper. Steriods are wrong. They hurt your body and you sometimes don't even realize it. Just eat right.

John Barasona #3

I agree with Patrick Murphy's first post. What's the point of playing the game if you're cheating most of the time. Games were meant to be played fair. People will just leave you because it's not fun anymore. You shouldn't be taking steroids just to be better at things. It only depends if you're natyrally good.

Jaison Medayil Post #3

John Barasona #2

I agree with Alex's first post. You may think steroids help you but they don't. They just make things worse. They can give you harmful diseases that can be fatal and can lead to death. The more you take, the more you become addicted to them. The more you use it the more people know that you're using it. Soon you're going to be prone to being cought with them.

Ryan Fitzgerald Post #2

Steroids are not the answer to getting better at sports. They harm you more than they do help you. Steroids have terrible side affects and they are not fair to the other players. I believe greed can factor in to taking steroids, if somebody wants a lot of money they would have to be good at what they do. So whats the answer to being good at sports? They think steroids can help them to become better and make the money they want.

Christian McCartney #3

I'm glad you see it my way, Didier. Just look at guys like Jason Giambi, Jose Canseco, and Bonds. Skinny as rails thier rookie years, and now they are practically growing second heads. Terrible.

Didier Jean-Michel Post#3

Athletes are people that take steroids the most. As Christian listed, there are many that are thought to and do take steroids. Iwas amazed when I heard the side affects. They were gross!!!
Anyway, with all the things I heard about them, I'm more certain than ever that steroids are bad for you and I will never ever be tempted to even try it. Im glad that know about the bad things about them so I can watch myself and not give way to peer pressure

Patrick Murphy: Post #3

I completely agree with Christian's first post. They do ruin people lives, such as imprisonment for getting caught for taking them.

Patrick Murphy: Post #2

I agree with Shannon completely. It is extremely unprofessional of a player to take steroids. On the other hand many of the players that take them are pushed to take them by fellow teammates that may take them or coaches that want that player to do better. However I am not saying that it is right but only that sometimes they are pushed into doing them.

Kerry DeLay: Post #3

I agree with Shannon, when she said that taking steroids is dangerous and unprofessional. Steroids can also ruin your career.

Kerry DeLay: Post #2

I agree with Katie and Alex when they said that taking steroids would give you an unfair advantage and it's not fair to the other players. Other players work hard and practice to get better, and don't take steroids. I also agree with Didier, when he said tht steroids can ruin your life, and why would you want to endanger your life, just to get better a t a sport?

Terence Clines post #3

Shannon has a good point, the use of steroids to get ahead of everyone else for a short time is just not worth the risks and side effects.

Shannon Cedeno Post # 3

For my last post, i just want to get my point across. I think taking steroids is dangerous and unprofessional. To hurt and kill yourself to make your performance and body look better is uncool. Plus when taking steroids, you will not look good for long! Why would anyone risk their life, job, friends, and reputation on a better game, or look? Play a different sport, or practice extra hard, but whatever you do don't take steroids, it will ruin your life!

Shannon Cedeno Post # 2

I couldn't agree more with Didier. Really, who would want to hurt themselves to the extent of killing themselves? I know i wouldn't! As i said before, by taking steroids for the wrong reason, you will eventually kill yourself, and extremely hurt yourself in the process. As Chanly said, play a different sport if you are bad at it, don't take the dangerous steroids to make yourself better at it!

Shannon Cedeno Post #1

If steroids are not being used for medical reasons prescribed by your doctor, don't use them! I think many people use steroids to make themselves and other people think they are amazing at what they are doing. Or some people take steroids to look better and feel better about themselves. But, by trying to make yourself look and feel better your making yourself a whole lot worse. Steroids are so dangerous with all the affects that will ruin your body. Eventually steroids will kill you if you use them for the wrong reasons such as body and performance enhancers.

Didier Jean-Michel Post #2

Steroids can really run one's life. Why would someone want to damage themselves to that extent? I read another article sometime ago about a teen in a high school football team where the whole team took steroids. The mother found out and was furious. The son fessed up and ratted out the whole team. This was a good thing because the others could of damaged themselves badly. The bad thing was that the team started giving death threats to him. The whole family had to move to another state. Well, I'm gettinng away from the main point of the actual article. Anyone else want to comment?

Christian McCartney #2

Not only can steriods affect your body, but also your mind. I can't count how many atheletes have died of 'Riod rage, or their lives have been effected by it. Just look at Barrett Robbins.

Didier Jean-Michel blog #1

Steriods are not good for you. I think everyone knows that. Its just what they do to you that people donot know about. The results are disaterous.

Christopher MIller #3

I agree with Tatiana. Steroids can lead to damaged veins, heart attcks, mood swings, vomiting, and depression. These are some things that your average person would not want.

Christopher MIller #2

I agree with Jaison. If Eddie Gurrero would not have taken steroids, he would be alive today.
If you take steroids without a doctors perscription first, your no athletic, your're a cheater.

Terence Clines post #2

I didn't know that steroids can affect your temper. Taking steroids makes you frustrated much more easily. This leads to bad sportsmanship, which hurts your reputation. This also shows how serious its side affects can be. If a drug actually affects your personality, it is not a good idea.

Christopher Miller #1

I believe that steroids are a bad thing unless used for something like asthema perscribed by a doctor. Just as it said in the article, steroids can result in the shrinking of the testicles, development of the breast, loss of erections, and maximizing of the head if taken by a male with an overdose and not a perscription. For girls it can result in the shrinking of the brest, more facial hair, and more male characteristics. According to the article, steroids have shown no proof of increasing of the athletic ability of a person. If steroids are not going to help you get any better, are going to destroy your body, and illegal, why take it.

Alex Fischetti Post # 3

I agree with Emily. Many athletes take steroids because they think they will help them, but they really ruin their career.

Alex Fischetti Post # 2

I agree with Katie when she said that by using steroids, you give yourself an unfair advantage and it is not fair to the other players. If you want to become better, you have to practice.

Alex Fischetti Post # 1

Dominic should not use steroids because, he might think they are helping him, but they have very dangerous side effects. Although Dominic might only plan on using steroids for a little while, he might end up using them for a lot longer than he expected because steriods are addictive, making it hard to stop using them once you've started.

Jaison Medayil Post#2

I agree with Chanly when she says no one needs steroids to look better or become better in sports. If you want to become better you have to work, their is no substitution. You may become one of those great athletes with steroids, but what goes up must come down. Sooner or later people will find out. Just think of Jason Giambi he used to be a great star, but now it would be rare to hear his name once as one of the Yankee's best hitters.
Using steroids is an unfair and a cheat way to become something great. Steroids will make you bad person and make you hurt internally.

I also agree with Christian and Jaison. They both gave examples of and described the results of steroid use. Just look at the news these days (and previous news too). See what happened to those steroid users. It's unhealthy, unfair, and has "unattractive" side affects. No one wants that!

Megan Post #2

I agree with Katie. As it was expained and described in her first post, steroids have many side affects. Plus, just like a lot of things, they were made to help people gain strength after surgery, and things like that. Steroids ruin everything for people who don't need them. It's also not fair to those who are fair and play the game right.

Katie Agoursalidis #3

i agree with Ryan. If you take steroids you are harming your body, ruining the game, giving yourself an unfair advantage, and making it unfair for the other players. There are many health issues that can come from steroids.

Katie Agoursalidis Post #2

I agree with Chanly. I think that you should be proud of your appearance and abilities. If you want to become a better athlete and be more athletic than you should just practice harder and believe in yourself. Don't do drugs just to become more athletic. All that is doing is endangering your own life.

Emily Kaminski #3

I agree with Jaison. I don't think anyone wants to look like the girl in Dodgeball!!! LOL

Tatianna Norsworthy Post # 1

I think that it is bad to take steriods because it can lead to damages to the blood veins, heart attacks, mood swings, vomiting, depression, and trouble with your family. You should also play the game the way it is supposed to be played.

Megan Henne Post #1

Steroids are a shortcut to become a sports superstar. But just like any shortcut, there are risks and problems. There are chances that what you think may help you may actually hurt you. "Don't take that shortcut," is what I would say to Dominic. The right road may be long but it's healthy. Just practice, exercise, and eat healthy!

Emily Kaminski #2

Steroids are very bad for your body. If men do steroids, they can develop intestinal problems. If women do, they can develop manly features such as facial hair.

Kerry DeLay: Post #1

Dominic should not consider taking steroids becasue although it may seem like they are helping him, they have many long-term side affects. Unfortunately, steroids are exremely addictive making them hard to quit. Steroids have become popular because they may improve endurance, strength, and muscle mass. However, research has not shown that steroids improve skill, agility, or athletic performance.

Dwayne Blog #1

I dont think steroids is worth the trouble. They cause many side affects such as premature balding or hair loss, mood swings, agression, aching joints, or high blood pressure. Steroid users that use a needle can get AIDS if they share a needle with other people.

Chanly Post #1

Steroids are very dangerous for your body if they are not prescriptions. It can have so many affects on your body. You can become dizzy, have mood swings, extreme feelings of mistrust and fear, high blood pressure that will really affect your heart, and many more. No one should need to take steroids to better their appearance or performance. You should be proud of how you look and how you perform. If you are not good at something struggle to get better, practice, or try another activity. You don't need something that will enhance your performance just try harder. There are many risk to steroids and they're not worth it.

Ryan Fitzgerald Post#1

Dominic should not consider steroids. It ruins the game and is unfair to other players. If Dominic takes steroids, there will be many health issues that follow. As Christian said, take a look at Barry Bonds.

Emily Kaminski #1

I completely agree with Christian. Steroids can do very harmful things do your body and ruin your career. Many athletes use steroids and hurt their bodies by doing so.

Terence Clines #1

Most people who do steroids are worried about their reputation as an athlete, but steroids are just about the worst thing that can happen to an athlete's reputation. If you need a reputation, do the work. You will be feel good and play good; without the side effects.

John Paul Barasona #1

I think taking steroids during sports is a horrible way to advance your athletic ability. Sure it'll make you better and stronger but what about the consequences? Anabolic steroids have many consequences such as trembling, peranoia, heart disease, strokes, and even cancer. IN some things you can use steroids in. Not saying that it's good to use steroids. It's that it's a good use in some things like military combat out on the battle field. Overall, you shouldn't use steroids at all to enhance athletic abilities.

David Boorasingh #1

I think that Dominic should play the game the same way that got him to be so good. What I am saying is that he should play the game without the steroids. It might help you get better faster, but if you put the work and practice, that would be better than any other steroids or inhancing drugs . To answer the title streiods is a big risk as sooon as it gets into your blood stream .

Katie Agoursalidis Post #1

I think that taking steroids is a bad thing. Steroids can improve your athletic ability but have many side effects. Theses side affects are premature hair loss or baldness, dizziness, mood swings, vomiting, damage to the blood veins, heart attacks, and problems with sleeping. There are also some good affects of steroids. They can save people from dying of asthma and can not breathe . Steroids are not where risking your life. Many athletes take them to strenghten the abilities to play a sport but all it is really doing is ruining the careers. For example in baseball Barry Bonds did steroids and had trouble with his career.

Justin Augustine Post # 1

I think taking steroids is a horrible way to advance your athletic ability. There are many effects that come with using steriods. Some effects are mood swings, including anger, aggression, and depression. Steriods cause many health issues, and can ban you from many sports, if caught. harming your body is not a good way to improve your athletic ability. Eating the right foods, pratcing, and strength training are the best ways to improve your athleic ability.

Jaison Medayil #1

Steroids is bad for many reasons. Steroid has many risks, for guys, there is intestinate problems, forming of breast, and sterility. For girls the risk are growing facial hair and manly features, just think of the girl from Dodgeball who took steroids, no one wants to look like her. Steroids may be good for some uses such as if you have asthma in which you need steroids to help you breath. Steroids should only be used when a doctor recommends it. Steroids for sports will ruin your career and sometimes even your life, such as Eddie Guerero who was a WWE wrestler who died because he used steroids.

Christian McCartney #1

Steriods are the worst possible thing to take if you are an athelete. Look at Barry Bonds. A few great seasons, thanks to the steriods, but look at him now. The man's head is larger than the rest of his body. 'Roids are certainly not worth it, by any means.

Patrick Murphy #1

I dont think he should think about taking steroids. I think that you should try and play the game it was made to play. Also there are many disadvantages to taking steroids, such as genitle problems and the increasing size of your head.
